About University
Daugavpils University was founded in 1921 and today is the biggest regional state university and the only university in Eastern Latvia. DU offers to achieve knowledge in 5 faculties and 53 study programmes.The main research disciplines of DU scientists are Literary Science, Linguistics, History, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Economy, Sociology, Psychology, Education and Art. DU has thirteen research centres, alomost all of them have allocated the means of various EU projects and have purchased modern equipment (e.g. ZEISS laser scanning microscopes), which allows to conduct high level research in various fields.
Age Criteria
• For Bachelor Programme: Age not exceeding 25 Years.
• For Master Programme: Age not exceeding 30 Years.
• For PhD Programme: Age not exceeding 38 Years.
English Level
• IELTS not required but student should speak good english as university will conduct a SKYPE Interview.
Note
• 10 + 2 in Arts & third division not acceptable.
• General BA and B.Sc is not acceptable for Master's program.
• General MA and M.Sc is not acceptable for PhD program.
